EXPEDITION CRUISE SHIP INFORMATION
 
The  Professor Multanovskiy was built in Finland in 1982-83 for polar and oceanographic research and carries a maximum of 48 passengers in comfortable outside cabins. With an ice-strengthened hull and passive stabilizers it is able to navigate scenic areas for smooth sailing where many other vessels cannot.

CABIN ACCOMMODATIONS
All of our cabins are comfortable and well-appointed, most with private bath/toilet facilities and lower beds (either twin or double). All cabins have ample storage facilities as well as a writing desk and chair. Premium cabins are larger, have TV/VCR’s for viewing movies, and furnished with upgraded linens and bathrobes. You’ll also find a small amenity kit containing soap, shampoo, and moisturizer in case you need it. All cabins have outside views with either a porthole or window (all cabins on decks 4, & 5 have larger windows). All cabins have 220V electrical power outlets with European style plug sockets.

While we make every effort to conserve water, bed linens will be laundered every 3 days, or as needed. Your friendly cabin steward will take care of that.

DECK 3
This is the lower passenger level on the ship. There are 11 cabins located here in either double or triple orientation. The dining room is also on this deck.

Twin cabin
Lying lower and aft in the ship these cabins are set up with 2 lower berths. While the toilet/shower facilities are shared, there is a wash basin in the cabin. They offer a writing desk/chair and ample storage cabinetry. There are portholes for outside viewing.

Triple cabin
This cabin is similar to the Double noted above but also contains an upper berth as well.

DECK 4
This is the main deck of the ship and where the lounge and the treatment room are located. There are 8 Twin Private cabins on this deck.

Twin Private cabin
These cabins are somewhat larger than the Twin Shares and have windows for outside viewing. All cabins have private facilities. Some have 2 have lower berths and some have an upper/lower configuration. There is a writing desk / chair and ample storage cabinetry.

DECK 5
This is the upper deck of the vessel and it contains 4 Twin Private cabins, 2 superior cabins and the Suite. The bridge is just up the stairs from here.

Twin Private cabin
These cabins are somewhat larger than the Twin Shares and have windows for outside viewing. All cabins have private facilities. Some have 2 have lower berths and some have an upper/lower configuration. There is a writing desk / chair and ample storage cabinetry.

Superior
These cabins are larger in size than the Twin Private cabins and also have windows for outside views. All cabins have private facilities and a double berth configuration as well as a sofa bed. There is a writing desk and chair as well a TV/VCR and refrigerator.

Suite
This cabin is larger than the Superior cabins. There are windows offering outside views as well as private facilities. There is a double berth configuration as well as a sofa bed and upgraded bedding. There is a comfortable reading chair as well as a writing desk/chair. There is ample storage cabinetry. There is also a TV/VCR as well as a refrigerator.
