| Welcome to our exciting collection of Expedition
Cruises spanning the polar regions from the Arctic
to Antarctica. From Greenland, Iceland, Spitsbergen
and the Canadian Arctic to the white Continent of Antarctica,
our diverse tour programs can take you into worlds that few
have travelled.
Arctic & Antarctic Expedition cruises use
ice-strengthened research ships or similar vessels, which
have been specially adapted to provide comfortable
accommodation. Carrying often as few as 25-54 passengers, in
one, two or three berth cabins, some of which have private
shower and toilet, a typical cruise vessel has a lounge,
bar, dining room and ample deck space for viewing.
Each day on board consists of time spent cruising from
one spectacular location to the next, with excursions ashore
using 'zodiac' inflatable boats. The focus of the
cruises is on wildlife and flora, but sites of historical
and special scenic interest are also visited. Each group is
accompanied by an expedition leader, whose knowledge and
enthusiasm will greatly enhance the enjoyment of your Arctic
or Antarctic voyage.
