Greenland

Greenland may be the most photogenic country on earth, although I am sure that the Faroese and Icelanders would also lay claim to that honour.

It is, most certainly, one of the world's most overlooked destination. Flown over annually by hundreds of thousands flying between North America and Europe, Greenland offers those who choose to stop-by a fascinating look at a very different part of the world. It is home to over 70,000 people, living in coastal communities on both the west and east coasts.

From remote villages steeped in the traditions of their ancient culture, to the modern side of the country so evident in the capital Nuuk, Greenland offers visitors contrast and a remarkably varied destination.

Our tour programs range from simple programs offering a few nights in a single community to more complex touring programs that will introduce you to a number of different towns and villages. We offer a series of cruise programs with a number of very diverse styles. The passenger ship of the Arctic Umiaq Line offers a very intimate and personal experience of the country as you join her regular coastal voyages; expedition cruises will take you into the remote north east, and then again there is always our unique sailing program that explores the coastline of East Greenland on board a wooden schooner.

Greenland is remarkable; it will truly be a holiday of a lifetime. We have travelled there many times, and look forward to assisting you in designing the perfect Greenland vacation.
