Why not add a few days in Manitoba’s Riding Mountain National Park? Join an exclusive group at our secluded guest ranch, and spend time viewing the abundant wildlife of the region. This wildlife-viewing tour offers a unique opportunity to photograph and learn about the Black Bear as well as a wide variety of other animals in their natural habitat. The Black Bears of Riding Mountain National Park are renowned for their many color phases – keep an eye out for blonde, taupe, cinnamon, red or chocolate bears. Join your wildlife biologist on informative safaris and nature walks, and visit a vacant bear den. You will have an excellent chance of seeing these secretive forest creatures close-up, from the comfort and safety of a special viewing blind.

In addition to the black bears, the park is home to a bison herd as well as moose, deer, wolves and other things of that elk. Rent a car in Winnipeg, or travel with scheduled transfers to the park for a three night stay, and enjoy two full days of wildlife before returning to the city.

Riding Mountain Guest Ranch is a secluded lakeside, Cape Cod home complete with knotty pine woodwork, Canadiana furnishings and a fireplace. Enjoy scrumptious home-cooked meals and a relaxed atmosphere.

Guests share the 3 1/2-story ranch house and enjoy scrumptious home-cooked meals, lots of fresh baking and a friendly family-style atmosphere.
The beautiful natural setting overlooks loon-inhabited Lake Wasamin, a private lake on the Ranch, making it a perfect setting for those wanting to connect with nature. You can explore the many natural features of the ranch on foot, by canoe or kayak. Or, simply enjoy the solitude of nature by sitting quietly in one of the safe and comfortable wildlife-viewing blinds and observing the lives of natures creatures, including the amazing black bears.
