The Lands of the North Atlantic
For most, the countries of the North Atlantic slip away far below a trans-Atlantic flight. Unseen as we watch movies, read books or snooze our way across the ocean, are some of the most interesting places in the world. For us, Greenland, Iceland, The Faroe Islands and the remote Scottish Islands are magical places for travellers to visit, and we love designing tours to these enchanting places.
Iceland is, of course, the best known of these islands; it is a remarkable country and one whose name alone can bring a smile to a face; stunningly beautiful, easily accessible and extraordinarily hospitable, it is a perfect destination for a vacation, or at least a stopover between North American and Europe.
Mid way from Iceland to Scotland are the unique Faroe Islands; a land of geographical superlatives and a tight community forged from their lives in the middle of the rugged North Atlantic, the Faroes make a fascinating stop. A glimpse, perhaps, into the Viking heritage of the Atlantic's past, their culture and way of life reflect the past in a vivid and striking way.
For 2012, we are pleased to offer a completely new series of tours to these remarkable lands, taking advantage of the new and comprehensive air services offered by Air Iceland, Atlantic Airways and Air Greenland from their Icelandic hubs.
The North Atlantic has never been more accessible, and should you not find the tour that meets your itinerary or budget, call and speak to one of our professional advisors; I am sure that we will be able to help! |
