| For those short of time,
we are delighted to offer this brief
itinerary, which allows you to see the
magnificent Polar Bears as they prowl
the shores of Hudson Bay. This program
entails a long day, but it holds a reward
you will never forget!
Day 1: Upon arrival in Winnipeg you will check into the Sheraton Four Points located at the Winnipeg Airport. Day 2: An early morning check in for your Calm Air flight to Churchill. Upon arrival you will be met by your Naturalist Guide and transferred immediately to the Tundra Vehicle launch site. Spend the day viewing Polar Bears in their natural habitat! These extraordinary animals prowl along the coast of the Hudson Bay waiting for the sea ice to form, allowing them to hunt for seals that will provide sustenance to carry them through the winter and on through the long summer. Don’t forget your extra film! A welcome dinner has been arranged at the Lazy Bear Lodge this evening. (L,D) Day 3: Embark on a Cultural
and Heritage Tour today. Visit local
attractions such as Cape Merry, the Port of
Churchill, and the Polar Bear Compound.
The remainder of the day is free to visit
the Eskimo Museum, the Interpretive Centre
or shop for souvenirs. This evening’s dinner
will be on your own to give you the
opportunity to experience the local cuisine
of one of the town’s restaurants. You
will be transferred to the Churchill Airport
early this evening for your return flight to
Winnipeg. Upon arrival you will again
check in to the Sheraton Four Points. (B) Day 4: Your tour concludes
following check out from the hotel. |
