This 10 day package takes in all the routes on the 3 and 5 day tours, but includes several circular routes from each accommodation partner. These extra routes are purely optional. All of our accommodation partners can offer out of saddle experiences such as clay pigeon shooting, archery and quad biking. Or maybe you just want to take it easy, see some of the spectacular scenery by foot, or do some shopping. The choice is yours. Simply state your preferences on booking. Please note all prices are based on staying at Loch Torridon Lodges if you wish to upgrade to the hotel please let us know, we will quote you the upgrade price. Day 1: A relatively short ride to ease you into the tour, but there are plenty of things to see and do; the Bannockburn visitors’ centre and the Wallace Monument, both steeped in Scotland’s ancient history plus the Royal Yacht Britannia and Edinburgh Castle. Ride through the beautiful Glen Devon past the famous Gleneagles Hotel. Then on to Crieff, a famous market town and the home of the Famous Grouse experience, before heading west to St Fillans at the eastern end of arguably the most beautiful of Scottish lochs, Loch Earn. Day 2: A circular route from St Fillans. If you didn’t visit on day one, there is another opportunity to tour the Famous Grouse Experience and stop a while in Crieff. Then it’s into the hills routing north on sweeping roads through the beautiful Sma’ Glen to Aberfeldy then Pitlochry, an ideal town to shop for traditional gifts. If you thought the view were spectacular up until now, wait until you see what the second half of the route has to offer. Heading west to Loch Tummel you must stop at the Queen’s View, an astounding panorama looking west along the loch to the mountains in the distance. It just gets better and better as you pass through quaint villages by tumbling rivers at Kenmore and Killin, before turning south for Callander and a spectacular loop to take you home to St Fillans and the end of a day never to be forgotten. Day 3: Another circular route from St Fillans. This time, you head west to Tyndrum. Stop at the famous biker's coffee shop, the Green Welly, before heading past the dramatic Ben Cruachan and its hydro-electric power station visitor centre. Turn south and lunch stop in the bustling fishing port of Oban. This rejuvenated town sports an excellent harbour development with a great selection of shops and restaurants. The road south from Oban takes you deep into the stunning Argyll countryside. Passing the lovely Crinan Canal, the winding roads lead to Lochgilphead, another quaint Scottish town, before you turn up Loch Fyne, famed for its seafood restaurant chain. Pass through Inveraray, home of Scotland's living 19th century prison and nearby Inveraray Castle, seat of the Duke of Argyll; both are well worth a visit. Then descend steadily from a famous beauty spot that goes by the apt name of the Rest and be Thankful before reaching the northern shores of Loch Lomond. Turning North, retrace your steps from Crianlarich back to your hotel in St Fillans. Day 4: From St Fillans, head west and cross the lonely, wide-open moors of Rannoch on roads that seem to have been custom built for motorcycling before entering the magnificent Glen Coe, scene of many a bloody battle in ancient times. Turning north to Fort William, passing the UK’s highest peak, Ben Nevis. You are now deep into Highland territory and the landscape becomes more desolate yet appealing. Pause at the picturesque Eilean Donan castle, featured in many films including “Highlander”, before winding your way to your next stunning destination, Torridon,where you will be staying at the Lodges at Loch Torridon Hotel for the next few days. Day 5: It's over the bridge to Skye for a circular route around this most spectacular island steeped in history. Stunning mountain ranges, craggy coastlines and wide open beauty, a tour round Skye is a must. Add in a stop in Plockton, a palm tree lined fishing village, and your circular route is complete. Day 6: A circular route from Torridon takes in the grandeur of the West Coast before sweeping east and dipping down alongside Loch Ness. Hugging the unspoilt west coast, you will pass secluded bays with golden sands, quaint villages such as Gairloch and rugged terrain. The route then takes you to Drumnadrochit on the banks of Loch Ness. Stop at the dramatic Urquhart Castle before routing back west towards your start point and another night in the spectacular surroundings of Loch Torridon. Day 7: Another circular route takes you even further North, passing through the fishing town of Ullapool and into the hills of Assynt. Our carefully selected route displays the Scottish Highlands in all its glory, whilst allowing you to ride on some of this area’s most scenic and quietest roads. Sweep down Loch Shin and stop to take in the panoramic views at the Struie Hill, before heading back west to Torridon. Day 8: We leave the West Coast behind and head east, savouring the length of Loch Ness and taking in the town of Fort Augustus with its ladder of canal locks and its famous monastry. We continue north east bound along a remote but stunning single track route ultimately taking us past the famous battlefield of Culloden. Continuing east along the Moray coastline we reach our next stop in Cullen. Day 9: This circular route takes us through the Moray capital, Elgin. Stop and shop at Johnstons Cashmere centre before continuing west to Forres. The route south to Grantown on Spey is spectacular taking you deep into whisky territory. Head to our partner distillery, Glenfiddich, for a specially arranged tour, before returning to Cullen for another night of luxury. Day 10: Your final day takes you south to Royal Deeside. Enjoy an exclusive tour around the Royal Family's Highland Home, Balmoral, before heading south through the Grampian hills and back into the Lowlands and your start point of the tour.
