This exclusive
program offers travellers a unique
journey across the Atlantic. Offered in both
northbound and southbound itinerary options, the
journey links Iceland, the Faroe Islands and
the Orkney Islands. The 12 day southbound
journey starts in Iceland with a three night
stay in Reykjavik; two sightseeing tours are
included, and a wide variety of optional
tours are available. From there it is a
short flight to Vagar in the remote and
enchanting Faroe Islands; the stay in Faroe
is for three nights, with one sightseeing
tour, and the balance of time free to
explore independently on the islands’
wonderful bus system, or by joining another
tour. From here the cruising
portion of the journey takes travellers from
the Faroe Islands overnight to Bergen in
Norway, before continuing on to Scrabster, a
port on the most northerly point of
Scotland. From there it is a short hop to
Orkney where there is a three-night stay,
and time to explore the archaeology and
simple beauty of these delightful islands. Time too to
contemplate the extraordinary history that
that linked these north Atlantic communities
lives for over 1000 years. The journey
finishes with a flight south to Aberdeen, or
if required to any UK point. A
northbound journey
of 10 days is available, this route is
shorter due to the various ferry and
flight schedules. Day 1: Arrive at
Keflavik airport in Iceland and transfer to
Reykjavik for a short tour of the city,
check-in to your accommodation for three
nights. Day 2: A guided
tour of the Golden Circle is planned for
today, visit Geysir hot spring area,
Gullfoss waterfall and Thingvellir National
Park. Day 3: Today is
free to explore the city on your own, visit
the shops and enjoy the restaurants and
nightlife. Day 4: An evening
flight from Reykjavik to the Faroe Islands,
transfer via shuttle to Torshavn and
check-in to your accommodation for three
nights. Day 5: A full day
tour to the island of Eysturoy, see colorful
villages, cross the Atlantic Ocean Bridge
and see Faroes highest mountain and
interesting rock formations. Lunch is
included in today’s tour. Day 6: Visit the
shops and cafes of the smallest capital city
in the world, walk along the harbour and
perhaps join an sailing tour or boat cruise. Day 7: Board the
comfortable Norrona ferry and embark on a
two night sailing experience to Scotland via
Norway. Day 8: Arrive in
Bergen this morning, a three hour stop
allows time to talk a walk in the charming
city before sailing on. Day 9: Arrive in Scrabster early this morning, where you will
connect to the ferry to Stromness.
From here, transfer to Kirkwall for three
nights in Orkney. Day 10: Today’s
day tour will take you to see the
archaeological sights from the Stone Age to
the Iron Age. Day 11: Visit the
St Magnus Cathedral and the remains of the
Earl’s and Bishop’s Palaces, take a tour of
the Highland Park Distillery and the visit
the shops for some locally made jewelry.
Enjoy dinner at a selection of restaurants
in town. Day 12: Travel by
