Day 1-2: Depart North America/Arrive Arusha
Connect in Amsterdam with your flight to Kilimanjaro Airport, arriving late evening. You will be met by Thomson Safaris staff and transferred to your lodge.

Day 3: Private Nature Refuge
After breakfast, take a brief flight to a private nature refuge, an exclusive area for Thomson guests in the Serengeti ecosystem. Enjoy a gentle orientation walk after lunch.

Day 4-5: Private Nature Refuge
This remote and pristine region is a private wilderness refuge - its unique geography, and its location outside the park make it a perfect destination for discerning guests who wish to enjoy a true wilderness and exploration experience.

Day 6: Serengeti National Park
Travel to your first location in the Serengeti which maximizes your seasonal wildlife viewing experience. Spanning nearly 6,000 square miles, and home to hundreds of thousands of hoofed animals, this promises to be another exciting day.

Day 7: Serengeti National Park
Enjoy a full day of wildlife viewing in the famed Serengeti at an exclusive location that few have the privilege of visiting.

Day 8: Serengeti National Park
Look for more wildlife as you travel to your second location in Serengeti National Park. This afternoon, set out on foot to the local village where you can learn more about Tanzanian life. The people who inhabit this village, the Ikoma, are known for their drumming, dancing and storytelling.

Day 9: Serengeti National Park
Enjoy your final day in Africa's most famous park - a pristine and unique sanctuary that will give you a glimpse into “the world as it was in the beginning.”

Day 10: Ngorongoro Highlands
After breakfast, continue your journey by heading east, toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Enjoy the scenery of rolling hills and vibrant colors as you make your way to the Ngorongoro Highlands. Arrive at Gibb's Farm in the afternoon, where you are sure to enjoy the serenity of this lush and extraordinary oasis.

Day 11: Ngorongoro Crater
The Ngorongoro Crater is a geological marvel boasting several vegetation zones from lakes to forest to savannah. It is home to about 30,000 animals, despite its tiny size of only 10 miles across.

Day 12:Ngorongoro Highlands
Today you’ll have time to explore and visit with local people to increase your understanding of Tanzania's cultural diversity. You’ll make new friends in the community while hearing about their history, and you’ll have time to take advantage of the amenities Gibbs has to offer.

Day 13: Arusha/Depart
Drive to Arusha this morning arriving in time for a farewell lunch, some shopping and a dayroom to prepare for your flight home this evening.

Day 14: Arrive North America
Connect in Amsterdam and arrive in North America. Please check your flight itinerary for arrival dates and flight details.
