The Lodge
The lodge was completely hand built from local timber and is integrated into the surrounding landscape. Much of the furniture has been carved by local craftspeople using wood from the area.
Recap the day's events lounging in our comfortable, spacious living room. The large vaulted windows let in both daytime and nighttime skies. Sweat out your cares in our steam sauna. Try out one of our housekeeping cabins. If you wish, you can share living quarters with others while not sacrificing comfort. Where else in the world would you wake up to such spectacular scenery?
Getting To North Nahanni Naturalist Lodge
Our guests can fly directly to Fort Simpson via Yellowknife, NT or Whitehorse, YT, from any major city in North America. We can provide packages with return airfare from Yellowknife, Whitehorse, Edmonton, Calgary or Ottawa. Our guests can also drive directly to Fort Simpson on the Mackenzie Highway through Alberta or on the Liard Highway through British Columbia.
Once you arrive in Fort Simpson, we will meet you at a pre-arranged destination and your Nahanni adventure will begin. We start out with a historical tour of Fort Simpson prior to your departure to the lodge and beyond.
