Antarctica is the fifth largest and southernmost continent. Its position at the South Pole, together with its elevation and ice-and-snow cover, generates the coldest climate on Earth. Its enormous ice sheet covers all but 2 to 3 percent of Antarctica and extends over the encircling ocean.
We offer a variety of tour programs to this vast southern continent, mostly cruises, but one that will include direct flights from Southern Chile.
The voyages are very different, offering a wide variety of itineraries including the Falkland Islands, South Georgia and other remote islands in addition tomaking landfall in Antarctia itself. The vessels vary from the ultimate in luxurious cruising to small, expedition-style ships with other categories in between. Because seasonal or perennial sea ice is found along all coasts, protected harbours are available to ships only during a few Antarctic summer months (Nov-Feb).
