Look out for superb handicrafts in the specialist shops found in Douglas’s pedestrianised shopping centre.

Day 3:  Cobh for Cork (Ireland)
Maritime enthusiasts should not miss Cobh: The Queenstown Story, a visitor centre that describes the tale of Ireland’s chief port of entry and departure, which hosted three or four transatlantic liners each week, including of course, White Star Lines’ Titanic. Take in Cork, with its lovely period buildings, and Blarney Castle and the famous Stone. Tour opportunities could also include a visit to the Old Middleton Distillery.

Glengarriff, set against the Caha Mountains at the head of Bantry Bay retains an ‘olde world charm’ and offers excursion opportunities to County Kerry and the Beara Penisula.

From Killybegs, visit the Glenveagh National Park. Within a rugged and remote mountain valley, the natural woodlands of Oak and Birch are inhabited by Badgers, Foxes and Stoats, whilst woodland bird life includes Siskins, Treecreepers, Redstarts and Wood Warblers.

Day 6:  *Bangor (N. Ireland)
Bangor is situated on the southern shore of Belfast Lough, some 12 miles east of Belfast, and is Northern Ireland's most popular seaside resort. The impressive Marina acts as a wonderful backdrop to the beautiful landscaped gardens and promenade which surround it. Visit Belfast, a vibrant city steeped in history with outstanding shops, restaurants and bars. Take an excursion to visit Mount Stewart House, home and gardens of the Marquis of Londonderry family, now managed by the National Trust, with its famous sunken gardens and lavish interiors. Or, discover the famous Giant's Causeway, formed over 60 million years ago by volcanic activity and now a UNESCO world heritage site.
