The first part of the tour is to the Lake Myvatn district, stopping at the scenic waterfall of Godafoss, proceeding to Skútustaðir for the pseudo-crates. In Reykjahlíð village you will transfer to the Krafla to Dettifoss bus at 1130. This bus drives up to Krafla mountain, to the explosion crater Viti, passing the sulphurous mud pots at Hverir. From there it proceeds through large lava terrains to Dettifoss, Europe´s most powerful waterfall. Here you board another bus taking you through the national park, stopping at Hljóðaklettar and at the horseshoe shaped Ásbyrgi before leaving the national park. On the way back to Akureyri, a short stop is made at Húsavík renowned to be the whale watching capital of Iceland.
