Day 1: Fly north to Churchill today. You will be greeted upon arrival and escorted to the Aurora Inn. Enjoy free time to explore the town and get your 'bear'ings. (D)
Day 2: This morning you will be transferred to Landing Lake. From here you will take a float plane along the winding Hudson Bay coast to Seal River Heritage Lodge. Be prepared to see huge pods of beluga whales, countless birds, caribou, and of course, the majestic Ice Bears. A thorough orientation of life in Polar Bear Country will be provided, with the afternoon yours to explore the lodge and relax. Enjoy your first of many gourmet suppers this evening. (L,D)
Days 3-6: Each day there will be a tour from the lodge, the choice dependant on the weather and tidal conditions. Head out to see hundreds of Beluga Whales in the Churchill River, explore the coastal flats by Tundra Tracker vehicle, travel the waters on a tranquil sea kayak excursion, and join walking tours to get intimately involved with the local flora and fauna. In the evenings you may be fortunate enough to enjoy spectacular displays of the Aurora Borealis. There is even the possibility of going diving with the whales, as dry-suits are also ready and waiting for you at Seal River.
