Winter Madness
(200016M-20)

Make this the year that you join our signature "Winter Madness" tour! Not mad at all, just a celebration of winter’s clarity and activity from a completely new perspective. The small Inuit communities on Greenland’s remote east coast are an ideal place to head and spend a few days celebrating this special season.

Day 1: Arrive early this morning at Keflavik International Airport in Iceland. A Flybus transfer is included to your accommodation in downtown Reykjavik where you will stay for one night.

Day 2: Make your own way to the Reykjavik city airport for your flight on Air Iceland to Kulusuk, East Greenland. Transfer to your accommodation for a three night stay in this small Greenlandic town. If you have chosen the Tasilaq option you will take the helicopter on to Tasiilaq for your stay in that community.

Day 3: Free day to explore on your own or take a local tour. At certain times of the year you can book a dog-sledding excursion, dependant on weather and glacial ice conditions. All day tours are booked and paid locally and operate when weather conditions permit.

Day 4: A free day to enjoy the unique beauty of Greenland.

Day 5: Transfer to the aiprt today to fly back to Reykjavik, the capital of Iceland. Transfer to your accommodation for a two night stay. You'll be here for Saturday night, the perfect opportunity to see this city in party mode. Why not join in? Clubs and bars stay open until the wee hours of the morning!

Day 6: A free day to take in an optional tour of the famous Golden Circle area, the city or surrounding area or do an activity tour like 4WD, horseback riding or caving. If you stay in the city you could visit one of Reykjavik's many swimming pools, open even in the depths of winter. A few of the optional day tours are listed below. Ask us to add in your choices to your tour. Other tours may be viewed on our day tours pages if you don't see what you are looking for.

Day 7: Late morning the Flybus will pick you up at your hotel to take you to the Blue Lagoon for a soak in the healing geothermal waters. Make sure to keep your bathing suit handy If you have your own towel, great, if not towels are available for rent at the check-in desk.. Afterwards you will be transferred to Keflavik airport in time for some duty-free shopping before catching your flight back to North America.
