Exploring Botswana, Tanzania, and the Dream of Timbuktu
Why Africa?
Africa is a land of wonder — vast, wild, and rich with natural beauty and unforgettable wildlife. For over 30 years, I’ve had the privilege of exploring and leading safaris across the continent, and I’ve seen firsthand how deeply meaningful these journeys can be.
Whether you’re seeing elephants for the first time or witnessing the wildebeest migration, a safari connects you with the rhythm of nature in a way no other travel experience can.
What Makes a Safari Unforgettable?
We partner with top safari outfitters, expert guides, and reputable lodges to offer:
- Access to private reserves and remote locations
- Luxury tented camps and 4x4 off-road vehicles
- Knowledgeable guides who elevate the experience
- Year-round and seasonal departures for every type of traveller
Two of the most iconic safari destinations — and two I personally love guiding in — are Botswana and Tanzania.
Why Botswana?
An Uncrowded Wilderness
While it’s winter in Canada, it’s summer in Southern Africa. That makes February and March the perfect time for a green season safari in Botswana.
Here’s what makes Botswana special:
- Smaller crowds and great value
- High-end camps with personalized service
- Exceptional wildlife viewing: births, migrations, predator sightings
- Private concessions and top-tier photographic opportunities
Luxury camps in Botswana are all about exclusivity — no fences, just nature. Whether it’s elephants at sunrise or lions on the hunt, it feels like the wild belongs to you.

Why Tanzania?
The Great Migration in Motion
May is the start of the dry season in Serengeti National Park, when massive herds of wildebeest and zebra begin moving north. Known as the annual migration, this spectacle is one of the world’s great natural wonders.
We plan our safaris to witness:
- Wildebeest crossings at the Grumeti River (a feast for crocodiles!)
- Herds stretching to the horizon, calves born earlier in the year
- Lions, hyenas, and predators following the movement
- Campfire evenings sharing stories under starry skies
Tanzania is also a great add-on for cultural experiences and coastal escapes. Think Zanzibar’s white-sand beaches or even gorilla trekking in nearby Uganda.
Bonus: The Dream of Timbuktu
As a long-time Africa expert and safari planner, I also had a dream — to make it to Timbuktu. I’ve now made it... almost three times! It’s a reminder that the adventure is never over, and there’s always something new to discover in Africa.

Ready for Safari?
Planning the right safari takes expertise. From choosing the right camp to understanding migration routes, we’ll help you build the trip that fits your travel dreams — whether it's your first safari or your fifth.
Let Africa move you. The wild is calling.
